Bursaries at Hereford College of Arts
Every UK student will receive £540 as a cash payments in their first year of study, and £210 in each subsequent year direct from the College. This bursary is not means tested and does not affect students' eligibility for applying for mainenance grants or loans (see above). Every UK student who is means-tested as eligible to receive the full Higher Education Maintenance Grant of £2906 will also recieve £320 cash direct from the College. *All fees and bursaries quoted at current rates, which may be subject to inflationary increases or revision in subsequent years.
*Bursary cash payments to students will be phased through that year of study.
*Eligibility for loans and maintenance grants will be subject to conditions set by the Student Loans Company: e.g. maintenance grants will be means-tested, and loans may only be available to those undertaking a first undergraduate award.
*Students who are already studying a course from which they will go on to a top-up BA (Hons) will not have to pay these fees, and will not be eligible for these bursaries. They will continue to pay the current fee (which will be £1225pa for 2007-8), but should be eligible for loans from the Student Loan Company.
Part-time students

A maximum fee grant and course grant of £1,470 is available. Part-time undergraduate students, who are studying at least 50% of an equivalent full-time course are eligible for help. Entitlement to the grants will depend on your income and that of your husband, wife or partner. Students who already have a degree cannot normally apply for this support. There is no age limit. There are three different rates of fee grant depending on how intensive your course is. You can get an application form here.
